At the Rare Disease Day Awareness & Networking Fair, we demostrated EyeCanDo to students at Stony Brook University and shared our experience to raise awareness of rare diseases.
Our proposal “Integrative Multi-Modal Communication for ALS Patients Using iPad” was recommended for funding by the Department of Defense Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Research Program for the Office of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP).
Starting from March 9, 2021, EyeCanDo has been evalauted at ALS Clinic, with 20 participating patients.
We were selected for funding for the ALS Association Managing ALS Award on eye gaze-based technology using Apple TrueDepth camera to enable communication for ALS patients.
